Animal Identification / Pet I.D. Microchips
Weston Animal Hospital offers the Home Again microchip identification system. By implanting a tiny chip under your pet’s skin, you can provide it with a lifelong form of identification.
Most veterinarians and animal shelters have electronic scanners for detecting these microchips. Once your pet has been scanned, its unique identification number can be used to retrieve information about you and your pet. This information speeds the happy return of your beloved pet.
The pet microchip is injected under a loose fold of skin, adjacent to the shoulders of your pet. The entire procedure takes only a few moments, and your pet will only react the same way when getting a vaccination.
Your pet is a part of your family; shouldn’t you make sure it can be properly identified in the event it gets lost?
